Our guesthouse in Minami-Izu is about a 20-minute drive from Izukyū-Shimoda Station.
Shimoda, with a population of around 20,000, is the largest city on the Izu Peninsula.
Minami-Izu is known for its peaceful Yumigahama Beach and relaxed countryside atmosphere, with Yumigahama ranked among the 100 best beaches in Japan.

Minami-Izu literally means “the southern part of Izu.”
Our guesthouse is just a 5-minute walk from Yumigahama Beach, a beautiful 1,500-meter stretch of white sand and clear blue ocean.
We know everyone in town and are happy to help you make the most of your stay.
The first floor has been recently renovated, featuring a shared living room and kitchen where guests can relax, socialize, and enjoy cooking together.

Guesthouse SORA consists of four private traditional Japanese tatami rooms and one dormitory room.

Private Tatami Rooms

These rooms feature traditional tatami flooring, futon bedding, and a low table with floor cushions for seating.
Please lay out your futon yourself when you are ready to sleep.

A microwave, toaster, cooking stove, kitchenware, and dishes are free to use in the shared kitchen.

Shower room

Shower facilities are available in the guesthouse.
Please note that they are closed from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM for cleaning.

Local Onsen (Hot Spring)

A local onsen (Minato-yu) is just a short walk from our guesthous.
Minami-Izu is known for its abundance of natural hot springs.
Onsen culture is an important part of Japanese life, and we warmly invite you to experience this unique form of relaxation for both body and soul.

Breakfast (Optional)

Breakfast is available for ¥550.
Please order your breakfast at check-in or by 8:00 PM.
Breakfast is served from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM.

The shower room is equipped with body soap, shampoo, conditioner, and a hair dryer.

Please note that additional items, such as towels and toothbrushes, are available for a fee.
